Aloha. I have lived on the Big Island for 20 years. I love it here and remember what it was like to move my family here in 1997. Like many who visit, we had stayed on the Kona side and drove around the island, seeing the sites. We vacationed on Maui & Kauai many times. When it came to moving, out priorities changed. We had to consider: schools, adult care for my mother-in-law, cost of living, etc. Most of all, we did not want to live in a "Tourist" area. So we stating to look for a small town on the ocean, where it didn't get too cold with a University. Hilo is was! We bought a 10 acre Lychee farm in Hakalau. Wow; with a corporate high tech background and zero farming experience we set out on this adventure. The only person we knew was our Realtor. Scary and fun. An adventure. I have lived in Hakalau, Hilo, and Puna (Hawaiian Paradise Park). I love helping clients find the perfect location for their needs. For sellers, we take a modern approach. Most people find their property on a smart phone, so we work hard making the presentation come to life with beautiful photos & video, where appropriate.
